April is currently a freelance writer and photography for newspapers such as Memphis Parent, the DeSoto Times Tribune and the Clarion Ledger. She is the active older adult coordinator at the Olive Branch YMCA and a full-time mom and wife. Last year was the first GIRLS NIGHT OUT! and it was a big success! The young princesses memorized 5 scripture verses while learning about speaking to one another in a godly way. And of course there was tons of fun and play. Many, many, many fashion shows complete with dress up clothes, makeup and up hair do's.
April and and her husband David Carpenter met twelve years ago at April's work. David was a traveling consultant with the company she worked for. You can read the rest of the story in Chicken Soup for the Soul Love Stories. The Carpenters are currently living in Olive Branch, MS with their two children, two cats and two dogs.
Chicken Soup for the New Mom's Soul has a sweet story of their two children, Nelson and Sophia Grace.
